She fell head-over-heels in love with "Fast-buck" Freddie, an alcoholic actor who abused and eventually killed her. Soon Josie awakens in the Bardo, the place between life and death. It is here she meets her Higher Self who conducts Josie’s exit interview to determine the role that she’ll play in her next life.
